This flap was named Dog Fancy's Editors Choice best pet product for 2007.
This pet door comes with no window lock, due to the difficulty in finding a lock that works with every type of window. One simple solution is to put a screw into the track right above the pet door so that if the door is raised the frame hits the head of the screw. This is easy to do and inconspicuous. The hole can be covered up with a small blob of silicone and its almost impossible to detect.
Monitors will allow for some color variance, but the satin is brushed aluminum like the bottom of a soda can, white is bright white, and black.
The Ideal Fast Sash is an inexpensive alternative with a less weather tight flap. The Hale Optiview is similarly weather tight with dual pane glass and has a bit more glass exposed because it doesn't have the spring loaded width adjuster.
