This is an industrial strength pet door suitable for kennels and other high usage situations. This door can be installed on any flat surface so it works for doors or walls. The Heavy Duty Dog DoorTM is spring loaded and will slap against whatever surface it is installed on. If you have a dog is a problem chewer and you have had trouble finding a pet door that will survive, your search is over. This door is even warranted against chewing, and is designed for extreme climates! In the spring loaded Heavy Duty models, when the dog goes out through this door, the Plexiglas and aluminum flaps both open. When they come back in only the Plexiglas flap is used.
The Easy versions have no springs and just close via gravity. For this reason the Easy doors are not suitable for windy conditions and are not as weather tight.
This door provides no frame for the inside of a door mounted installation, and does not frame out a hollow core door. The closing cover includes an aluminum track, and a polypropylene cover which slides down into the track to block off the pet door.
